When you clicked on the orange RSS button, the page full of code could have caused you a minor heart attack. As your preferred service partner in Singapore real estate decisions, let me shed some light on why and how you can use RSS (and this site) to your advantage.
What is RSS?
The Really Simple Syndication (RSS) does not seem simple and intuitive to many, but in essence, it's a notification system that alerts you when updates are made.
Used in the "Market News" page, it allows the latest updates I have sourced out on relevant property news to be sent to your computer, without you checking back regularly to monitor the news.
This is especially useful when the internet is filled with plenty of content, and it would take you massive amounts of time to scurry through every single site for information. If you liked what you were reading, subscribe using the RSS feed.
How do I read RSS feeds?
There are many RSS readers available in the market, but if you have a Google account, it would take you just 3 steps to get started with your Google Reader. Plus, if you are using an Android phone, the Google Reader can be installed and synced with your device.
Step 1) Log in to your Google account
Step 2) Copy the feed URL after you have clicked the RSS button on the Market News page
Step 3) Click the "Subscribe" button on the landing page of the Reader; paste the feed URL into the field, and click "Add"
Once you have done the above, you would have successfully subscribed and would start receiving updates directly in your RSS reader. The site would appear along with your other subscriptions. Subscribe (and write to me if you have any other interesting stories or news on Singapore property new launches)!
